Should I make a reservation?

Sure! Please submit your booking request via the ‘Reservations’ tab.

Private room rentals for up to 18 people are available at the Hive (starting at $350, not available on Friday/Saturday evenings).

How do the take-home pottery kits work?

1. Come on in anytime we are open – no special booking or advance notice required.

2. Choose any piece from our available selection – (changes daily, not available to view online). Prices vary by piece, average is $25-$30.

 
3. Choose up to 6 colours from samples on our paint wall!
 
4. Grab your kit – we will send you home with your paint, brushes, tips and tricks!
 
5. Get creative – paint at your own speed and in your own space!
 
6. Bring your masterpiece back to us when you’re done. We will glaze and fire it, and you’ll have it back within 2 weeks!
When will I get my pottery back?
Please check the white sheet you were given at checkout or drop-off – we will have your piece back by the date stamped on it (within 2 weeks after we receive your piece).
 
We do not make calls out, so please feel free to come collect your masterpiece at Honeycomb anytime we are open, on or after the date on your sheet.
 
Please bring your sheet with you, it makes your piece much easier to find!
Do you sell Gift Cards?
We sure do! You can pick one up in any denomination from either location anytime we are open!
Are there any age restrictions?

The Hive and Hollow is best suited for aduls and older youth.  We do welcome everyone 8-18* until 8pm, after which we are 19+ and photo I.D. is required (we are very strict on this so please be sure to have it with you!).

There are no age restrictions at Honeycomb, but please keep in mind that children must be able to follow social distancing protocols and remain at their table for the duration of their stay. 

Do you offer gluten-free or vegan options?

Yes. Most of our shakes and many of our desserts are available vegan and/or gluten-free. But because we have a tiny kitchen, we have a very limited selection of vegan/GF food options and cannot ensure against cross-exposure.

Is there a time limit?

At the Hive, there is a time limit of up to 3 hours for tables during busy times.

At Honeycomb, the limit is 2 hours during busy times.

Do you do children's birthday parties?

We do not currently host children’s birthday parties, but we are happy to accommodate private group bookings via rental of our private room (starting at $350, not available on Friday/Saturday evenings). Please send us an email with number of people, date and time preferences to events@hiveandhoneycomb.ca and we will follow up with your options.

Do you do private rentals?

We are happy to accommodate bookings of the Hive (up to 40 people seated) and/or the Hollow (up to 15 people seated) individually or combined. Please send an email with number of people, date and time preferences to amy@hiveandhonycomb.ca and we will follow up with your options.

Are you wheelchair accesible?

Honeycomb: Yes. The Hive: Sort-of.

Honeycomb is fully accessible from both Grafton Street and the Confederation Court Mall (during open mall hours).

The Hive is in kind of a weird space in an old building. There is an elevator to the second floor through the mall and a back entrance to get to us, but there are 8 steps down from there to the main space. So accessibility really depends on the level of mobility and if the chair could be carried down those stairs. We do have an accessible washroom and the space is easy to get around once inside, but the stairs are an obstacle and the pitch is too steep for a ramp.


How are you dealing with Covid-19?

We follow the guidelines set out by the PEI department of Environmental Health. You can find the general guidelines here, and the restaurant specific guidelines here.
